Spain legend Raul snubs Blackburn

BLACKBURN have been knocked back in their ambitious swoop for Spanish legend Raul.

Schalke confirmed they received a bid believed to be about £3million.
The German club gave Raul, 34, until today to make a decision.
But the 102-cap Spain striker last night told them he was staying put.
Schalke sporting director Horst Heldt revealed: "The player has told us he does not want to leave.
"So that is the topic done for us. The interest from Blackburn is now cancelled."
Rovers defender Michel Salgado, Raul's former Real Madrid team-mate, was at the forefront of the club's bid.
Blackburn tried to land Raul last summer but ex-boss Sam Allardyce was thwarted by a lack of funds.
New owners Venky's saw attempts to land Ronaldinho and David Beckham fall flat in January
