Arsenal will be without suspended duo Samir Nasri and Robin van Persie for the Champions League play-off first leg against Italian side Udinese.
Winger Tomas Rosicky faces a fitness test on a groin problem suffered in the goalless draw at Newcastle on Saturday.
Despite his red card at St James' Park, Gervinho will be available, but England midfielder Jack Wilshere is injured.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has called for a "united front" on and off the pitch for the game.
Cesc Fabregas officially became a Barcelona player on Monday, while Nasri has been linked to Manchester City, although he trained with the team on Monday and said fans accusing him of wanting to leave the club were being "disrespectful".
Wenger, who will also serve a one-game touchline ban, said: "I just expect my team to have a good game on Tuesday and that will encourage their belief and strengthen their belief.
"I understand everybody's worry, but I believe as well a club is a united front. Our players need the support from our fans.
Samir HandanovicUdinese goalkeeperWe know Arsenal is a strong team, they usually get eliminated only by Barcelona, but Arsenal are not only Fabregas, Nasri and Van Persie. We are different than one year ago too".
"It is an important period for this club, but I am confident we will get over it in a very successful way. We need to remain united and not let the media manipulate our fans in a way they should not."
Arsenal crashed out of last season's Champions League to eventual champions Barcelona with Van Persie being sent off in the second leg for kicking the ball away after the whistle had been blown.
Protests after the game by Nasri and Wenger led to their punishments this season.
The French coach hoped his sanction would not have a big effect on his team's preparations, but he said he expected a tough game against the team which finished fourth in Serie A last season.
"You never knock somebody from Italy out in an easy way so we prepare ourselves for big challenges," Wenger said.
"We are ready to give our all to be part of the Champions League group stage.
"I expect a game of 180 minutes where we will have to be at the top for as long as we can and not dream that after 90 minutes it will be over. That would be the right approach."
