ANDRE VILLAS-BOAS reckons his head is already on the chopping block after Chelsea's miserable start to the season.
The under-fire Blues boss knows his team dare not lose tonight's Champions League qualifier away to Bayer Leverkusen following defeat in three of their last four Premier League games.
He admitted: "When results like this happen, the head of the manager is always called for execution.
"I understand why we are getting these kind of comments and there are no excuses. But I am not worried about what people are saying.
"I just want to get my team back to winning ways and we will try to do that against Leverkusen.
"We don't want to go into a spiral of results like this team went through last season.
"The emotions these players lived through last year are enough to make them want to avoid that stigma this time."
Villas-Boas was speaking after being fined £12,000 by the FA for his criticisms of referee Chris Foy following last month's controversial 1-0 defeat at QPR.
Victory in Germany tonight will guarantee Chelsea's place in the Champions League knockout stages but defeat would leave them sweating on qualification from Group E
